Having recently just finished a tour with Honeyblood, releasing their debut EP Fenham Dread(lock) and playing at Reading & Leeds and The Great Escape earlier in the year, Newcastle-based scuzzy garage band EAT FAST are continuing to put the finishing touches to their second album, which should be due out some time next year.
In the meantime, they’ve shared a brand new track, ‘Public Display of Affection,’ released on 2nd November via Weekend Denim. It takes their lo-fi garage sound but takes it into even more feral territory, showcasing the foursome at their most uninhibited. The track itself focuses on the trials and tribulations of modern romance, and whatever your feelings are on people getting a bit hot under the collar in public, it’ll still manage to crawl into a space in your heart. Listen below.
The band will also be playing The Great Escape again next year and are playing its ‘First Fifty’ event at Kamio in London on 24th November.
