French-American garage pop duo DTCV (pronounced “detective”) releasing their brand new album Confusion Moderne on this Friday (28th October) via Xemu Records. The LP has been recorded alongside psych guru Joel Jerome and captures what the band like to call “anarcho-symbolist rock,” entirely written by Lola in French to reflect her anti-consumerist, eco-feminist concerns. Recently, the band shared a video for their single ‘Histoire Seule,’ the first music video to be shot by Oscar-winning director Steven Soderbergh.
In advance of their upcoming UK tour, which starts this Thursday in Nottingham, we’re exclusively sharing a new track, ‘Le Vampire’ – an appropriate title for the week just before Halloween! The new song is instantly memorable thanks to its clash of bulky guitar riffs, clashing percussion alongside some sweet 60’s French pop vibes. It crams a wave of energy into less than two minutes, and puts a welcome twist on garage rock. Listen below.
