London-based Husky Loops first met in Bologna in Italy and formed their group just over a year ago, releasing their first single ‘Dead’ at the start of this year. That single established the band as purveyors of a slightly unorthodox take on modern rock, and saw them supporting Brooklyn band Sunflower Bean. They’ve now re-emerged with a brand new single, ‘Fighting Myself,’ which sees them traversing further down the unconventional rock route. In their words, “‘Fighting Myself’ is about struggle and everyday hindrance that leads to an outburst of anxiety and energy sonically represented by the final part of the song.” Listen below.
Husky Loops are also playing a couple of shows in their hometown in the coming weeks, once to celebrate Halloween and secondly as part of The Great Escape’s First Fifty. Details below.
31st October – Halloween at Bush Hall, London
24th November – TGE First Fifty at Kamio, London
