This year, Sŵn Festival returns to the Welsh capital for a landmark 10th edition. As well as over 100 emerging and established acts on the bill, including Amber Arcades, Hidden Charms, Ani Glass and Meilyr Jones, the festival will also play host to the world premiere of Be Pure, Be Vigilant, Behave, which follows icons Manic Street Preachers on their Holy Bible tour.
The film has been directed by BAFTA Award winning Welsh producer Kieran Evans. He said of the film: “For me, Be Pure, Be Vigilant, Behave is a document that I hope conveys the intelligence, the energy, the art and the craft that went into making The Holy Bible shows so extraordinary and how vital and necessary the Manic Street Preachers still are in the current musical landscape.” The screening will also be accompanied by The Valley Trilogy, a compilation of the first three short films that Evans directed for the Manics.
The screening takes place at the Premiere cinema in Cardiff on 19th October, and is followed by a Q&A with Evans. Tickets for the event are on sale here.
Sŵn Festival takes place between 21st and 23rd October 2016 across various venues in Cardiff.
