After releasing her latest album Puberty 2 via Dead Oceans earlier in the year, singer-songwriter Mitski has unveiled a new clip for her single ‘A Burning Hill.’ Directed by Bradley Gray, the video for the album’s final track reflects the feeling of intimacy evoked by the song. It’s a quiet, muted and reflective piece that captures Mitski herself at her most vulnerable while travelling.
She said of the clip: “The director and I spent a weekend just driving around New York and Pennsylvania while the camera kept running, and most of the time I’d forget I was being filmed. It felt like a vacation, but it was also quite emotional, as I was thinking about the song and what it means to me now while jumping in rivers and driving down dirt lanes.” Watch below.
Mitski will also be heading out on a tour of the UK as part of a much wider European jaunt in 2017. Tickets are on sale from Friday 14th October and details are below.
