Earlier this year, Swedish indie-pop veterans Red Sleeping Beauty released Kristina, their first album in 19 years, on Labrador Records. On the album, they harnessed their love of analogue synthesisers and acoustic guitars to create a heartfelt collection of synth-driven pop gems. The track ‘Mi Amor’ told the sad story of a long-distance relationship, sung in both English and Spanish.
‘Mi Amor’ now has a new video, fittingly shot in both Spain and Sweden. Shot on grainy, almost vintage film that looks like it’s come straight from the 1940’s, the clip matches the sombre nature of the song itself. Travelling along roads and capturing figures without ever really knowing who they are, the band manage to capture a sense of quiet melancholia in a variety of picturesque locations. Watch below.
