Following on from the release of their debut album Sore, Canadian punks Dilly Dally have announced they’ll be releasing a remix EP on 7th October. Called fkkd, the five-track collection sees the likes of Odonis Odonis, Bad Channels, Nailbiter and Force Publique reworking their songs. To coincide with the announcement, they have shared one of the remixes, a new version of ‘Desire’ by UK electro duo and political activists CRIM3S. Their spin on ‘Desire’ is an abrasive few minutes with elements of EDM and harsh noise, that completely transforms the original track while still keeping its punk spirit.
Dilly Dally’s Katie Monks said of the rework: “Sadie Pinn from CRIM3S reached out to us as soon as ‘Desire’ dropped last year, and our artist crushes all sorta grew from that. Don’t think they ever fucked with guitar music much, but there was a similar attitude that we all shared.” Listen below.
Dilly Dally are also heading out on a short tour with fellow Canadian alt-rock outfit Weaves this month. The dates take place not long after the bands have made appearances at End of the Road Festival. Details below.
