It’s just a couple of weeks before singer-songwriter Cass McCombs releases his brand new album Mangy Love on 26th August via ANTI. McCombs has become known over his 10-year career for writing lyrics that are rebellious but also cryptic and veiled, and this is again set to be at the forefront of the new record, which aims to take aim at socio-political issues through his own unique lens on the world.
He’s already recently shared two tracks from the LP: ‘Opposite House’ and ‘Run Sister Run.’ His latest offering, ‘Medusa’s Outhouse,’ sees McCombs combining downbeat, Americana-tinged melodies with his own yearning voice. He claims to merely want to forget what’s happening but also swathes the song in his usual colourful imagery. Listen below.
McCombs is also heading out on a European tour in November and is set to play his only UK date at London’s Scala on 7th November. Tickets are on sale now.
