After spending much of the year supporting The 1975 on tour, The Japanese House is heading out on a solo UK tour in October and November. Under The Japanese House moniker, 21-year-old Amber Bain has released two critically acclaimed EPs (Pools to Bathe In and Clean), which are filled with melodic, brooding electronica mixed with small elements of surf rock and indie. Slightly experimental and melancholic, the collections come alive on stage, where the bass notes and Bain’s haunting voice are amplified.
The new tour follows on from Bain’s dates in February and take in the length and breadth of the country, culminating in a hometown show at London’s Heaven in November. Details of the new dates are below.
27th October – Thekla, Bristol
29th October – Joiners, Southampton
30th October – The Bullingdon, Oxford
31st October – O2 Institute 3, Birmingham
1st November – Rescue Rooms, Nottingham
