Last year, Canadian electro-punk artist Peaches released her sixth, critically acclaimed album Rub, her first effort for six years. The album built on her noted disregard for traditional gender norms, as well as featuring her typically in-your-face, sexually explicit lyrics. The LP was recently announced as one of the albums on this year’s Polaris Music Prize longlist. A Rub Remixed record was recently released, featuring mixes from Paula Temple, Planningtorock and Austra’s Maya Postepski among others.
In November, Peaches will be taking the record and her extensive back catalogue on a full tour of the UK. The dates include two nights at London’s Oval Space and a performance at Liverpool’s Invisible Wind Factory, a new arts space based on the city’s docklands.
