The news about what is in store for us at the seventh edition of the Deer Shed Festival just keeps on getting better and better. In firm keeping with the previously announced music, spoken word and literary line-up, and arts programme, the comedy bill for this superb family-friendly music, arts and science festival looks set to be the best yet.
Deer Shed Festival has revealed that the brilliant stand-up comic, author, and radio and TV star Mark Watson will head up their comedy line-up. Joining the former Edinburgh Festival Award Winner and Time Out Critic’s Choice on this year’s bill will be fellow stand-up comedians Justin Moorhouse, Tony Jameson and an as yet unannounced special guest in what promises to be an amazing ‘Comedy Night at the Big Top’ full of incredible entertainment, fun, and laughter.
In the afternoon, musical maestro and comic powerhouse Rob Deering will be keeping both children and adults alike royally entertained. Alongside him, and making a most welcome return to Baldersby Park will be the comedy creation of Janice Connolly, Mrs Barbara Nice, plus stand-up comedian, political campaigner, celebrity tweeter , actor, writer and co-founder of Comedy Club 4 Kids, Tiernan Douieb. It all looks like being something very special indeed.
Over its seven year history Deer Shed Festival has steadily grown its attendance to 10,000 – with 46% aged 15 and under – without losing any of its innate sense of intimacy.
