Swedish band Tennis Bafra have been around since the 1990s but they have been holed up in their rehearsal space for fifteen years before beginning to tour and release records!
In 2010, Swedish label Nomethod Records (De Montevert, Simian Ghost) picked up Tennis Bafra and released their first record. The band have also toured Europe – supporting Dinosaur Jr, Thurston Moore & Polvo.
Now Tennis Bafra are back with their second album, ‘Bummer’. Some of the songs have parts that were written as early as 1994 when the band first started. Since it had taken quite some time for them to release their first album in 2012, most of Tennis Bafra’s songs had been forgotten over the years. All of that pent up frustration i taken out on the Sonic Youth-esque noise rock rush of ‘Shit for Brains’ the first single from their second album and we have the video premiere here:
