Instrumental weirdos Three Trapped Tigers are back with this no-nonsense track, the first cut from their forthcoming album of the same name, and it does not disappoint. As with previous releases, drums are a huge focus, large and imposing from the outset. A touch mellower than some of their previous offerings but with all the ferocity and angular madness you’d expect along with some warped, dark bass and screaming synths. After a five-year studio break, the trio (Matt Calvert, Tom Rogerson and Adam Betts) have been fine-tuning a fresh take on their already distinct sound and collaborating with none other than Brian Eno and Karl Hyde of Underworld for the album. Check out ‘Silent Earthling’ below.
