Track Of The Day #744 William Bolton – Don’t Lose your Faith

william boltonOne of the first things you notice about William Bolton‘s Soundcloud page is the number of followers that he has. The number, which now stands at almost 7,000, shows just how dedicated he is to his fans and his music. There is no denying that in an increasingly oversaturated industry it can be hard for music to be heard and noticed. But Bolton’s fan base only continues to grow and there is a very good reason for this.

On ‘Don’t Lose Your Faith’, Bolton presents his talent in the most natural way possible. The song starts off with an incredibly catchy yet simple beat before shifting into a beautiful parade of trumpets, piano, and self-produced beats. As the song continues Bolton’s soulful vocals begin to sing about “hope, faith, and fighting the good fight.”

He may well sound cheerful as he sings, but it is also clear that he connects with what he is saying. He is full of expression and emotion; the lyrics in themselves are upbeat and bouncy to say the very least.  Evidently, his music is influenced by jazz and soul but by combining it with melodious, simplistic instrumentals Bolton is able to create his very own sound. In fact, this sampling from an array of genres allows him to differentiate himself and his music from thousands of other artists that are also trying to become successful.
