Returning for its second edition in November, the High & Lonesome organisers have just revealed details of their full line-up for this year’s event. And what an event it promises to be. Joining what was an already very impressive bill – one featuring two great headliners in the shape of former Lift To Experience frontman Josh T. Pearson and fellow American Julia Holter, whose brilliant new album Have You In My Wilderness is already threatening to top those end-of-year lists – will be the much fêted local indie-folk five-piece Dancing Years, their Mancunian counterparts and firm festival favourites The Travelling Band, recent Bella Union signing Holly Macve and the hugely talented Merseyside songwriter John Joseph Brill.
Add the names of former Mojave 3 maestro and current Slowdive vocalist and guitarist Neil Halstead, mercurial Glaswegian guitarist RM Hubbert, and the highly touted South coast singer-songwriter Tom Williams to the list of names who will be appearing at the festival come the 14th of November, and we are most surely in for something of a treat.
This year High & Lonesome will be moving out of Leeds city centre to the amazing creative space that is the Left Bank Church and a venue that needs absolutely no introduction, the Brudenell Social Club. These two locations, a few hundred metres apart and a couple of miles from the city centre, promise to be the perfect settings in which to enjoy a full day of great music, food, drink, film and art.
High & Lonesome Festival takes place from 1pm ‘til late on Saturday 14th November 2015 at the Brudenell Social Club and Left Bank Church, Leeds.
