London-based 5-piece The Sticklers return with ‘Unhappy Family’ the follow up to their last single ‘Mr Needlove’ ,which we premiere’d around this time last year. As luck would have it we also have the premiere for their new video for ‘Unhappy Family’ too!
‘Unhappy Family’ is a snappy tuneful, wistful, female fronted guitar tune which according to the band is ‘about being in a bad relationship and having flash forwards that if you don’t break up with them you’ll be in an unhappy family!’ It’s threaded with violins and tremulous choruses.
The single was recorded at Famous Times studio in Homerton with Sean Read of the Rockingbirds. The video was shot in and around Hackney Wick and features all five members getting on their bikes, watch it here;
