No sooner have the clocks jumped forward and The Curious Incident have quickly captured the mood of British Summer Time with their brand new single, ‘Please Don’t Say’. A cheery, sunny blast of toe-tapping pop, the song is taken from the four-piece band’s debut EP Penny Lonesome which hit the shelves earlier on this year.
The four young men with the international identities are Cavey Roberts, Diego Diaz, Dan Bowery and Mirko Picones and together they fuse the primary elements of pop, indie and rock, before shooting it all through with a mild reggae lilt. It is a sound not unlike that of The Police around the time of Reggatta de Blanc had it then been fast-forwarded some four decades, dusted down and reimagined in the guise of four fresh-faced variants on Bruno Mars.
‘Please Don’t Say’ is released on 30th March 2015 through Cat String Records
And to support its release, The Curious Incident will play two free entry shows on the 13th of April at the Oporto Bar in Leeds and the following night, 14th of April at The Finsbury in Finsbury Park, London.
