The experimental electronica and jazz-fusion trio Troyka are back. Some eighteen months after the release of the critically acclaimed Moxxy, Kit Downes on Hammond and synths, drummer Josh Blackmore and Chris Montague on guitar and loops return with their third album Ornithophobia.
To herald the record’s arrival early next year Troyka have just revealed a brand new track from it. With its ephemeral message buried beneath a flurry of irregular rhythm and burbling electronics, ‘Life Was Transient’ harnesses the freewheeling spirit of progressive jazz to the bold awareness of an electronic Dr. Dre. This early taste of Ornithophobia promises an album that is surely going to creep up slowly on the listener with unmistakable stealth.

Ornithophobia will be released on 26th January 2015 through Naim Records.
To promote the album, Troyka will then set out on a 12 date tour of the UK.
