Wire and One Inch Badge announced the next instalment of DRILL:FESTIVAL. Held in Brighton, this 4-day series of events is showcasing a spectacular line up that includes SWANS, Savages, Toy, Courtney Barnett, The Wytches, East India Youth, Telegram and Gold Panda.
In February 1980 the first incarnation of Wire ended at the Electric Ballroom in Camden, with a classic performance eventually released as the ‘Document & Eyewitness’ live album. Three decades on from that infamous gig, Wire released ‘Change Becomes Us’, which was linked to the creation of DRILL:FESTIVAL. Following successful ventures in London and Seattle, DRILL:BRIGHTON is Wire’s biggest & most ambitious bill to date, incorporating over 100 bands as well as a broader cultural programme of films, talks and exhibitions.
DRILL:BRIGHTON is taking place across 14 venues between 4th and 7th December 2014.
