Great Underrated moments in music pt 1: In Limbo – Radiohead(Kid A)

Firstly the jazzy bridging segue from preceding track Optimistic into In Limbo proper. To the Elliptical arrangements that sound like Escher paintings put to music, the disorientating feel of the lyrics to Thom Yorke’s final refrain of “cry baby” suddenly being subsumed by huge waves of radioactive electronic sludge followed by a juddering pulse leading into the next track Idioteque. One word.Genius.

I never understood why this track is often the overlooked runt of the Kid A litter? When it is, quite literally seminal. Idioteque following it wouldn’t have half the impact it does without this amazing piece of song-writing before it.
