Despite the vagaries of the British weather which may suggest otherwise, summer is almost upon us. And Beacons Festival is now less than 10 weeks away. By way of celebration of both of these facts, Beacons today announce yet more top acts to be added to what is an already very impressive line-up.
Joining Daughter, Darkside, Action Bronson, The Fall, Dixon, and British Sea Power – who will be performing in its entirety the album From the Sea to the Land Beyond, their soundtrack to Penny Woolcock’s feature film of the same name – in the beautiful rolling countryside that is Heslaker Farm in Skipton, North Yorkshire will be a further wave of some of the most exciting artists and DJs around today.
Heavily influenced by house, techno and garage, Dusky – London based producers Nick Harriman and Alfie Granger-Howell – will continue their meteoric rise out of the UK underground scene. Other huge names from the world of electronic underground dance and house music who are now scheduled to appear at Beacons this year are Ralph Lawson and Huxley.
Perhaps still best known for her late-80’s pop hit “Buffalo Stance”, Beacons will welcome a vastly different Neneh Cherry to the 2014 festival. Joined by London duo RocketNumberNine, their sights will also be firmly fixed on the dancefloor.
In total, 33 new acts have just been announced for this year’s event. For details of the full list of acts so far, please go here
