East India Youth, otherwise known as William Doyle, has already taken the spot with his debut album Total Strife Forever of one of the first and best releases of 2014, and this “song architect” has not stopped since. In between relentless touring, Doyle slowed down the pace and shot the visuals for his latest single “Heaven, How Long”, which will be released on June 16.
The video, directed by Joe Spray, depicts Doyle slowly moving on some middle-of-nowhere train tracks, mimicking the pace of the track itself. The slow panning of the camera, inserted in a bucolic landscape, rhythmically follows the electronic build of the track, in which Doyle’s vocal affectation . The visuals take an unusual spin by the end, when the track goes all nostalgic electro pop and Doyle looks as if he is been thrown into a really bad acid trip.
East India Youth will be touring throughout the UK and Europe this Summer, so make sure to catch him live.
