Edinburgh alt-rockers Meursault are literally putting the finishing touches to a new album The Organ Grinder’s Monkey. With the full process completed in a mere twenty days the guys are currently busy folding and packing, with this evening (Friday 21st February) seeing the first of a few live dates to launch.
Friday 21st February – The Haven Café, Newhaven (sold out).
Sunday 23rd – Michael Neave’s Kitchen and Whisky Bar, 21 Old Fishmarket Close.
Monday 24th – Michael Neave’s Kitchen and Whisky Bar.
Saturday 1st March – Penicuik Town Hall, Penicuik.
All tickets available from this link.
The album is being released through Song, By Toad Records with a track list chosen by the fans who purchased it via a Kickstarter campaign, also voting for five songs – covers or original Meursault songs – with the most popular making it onto the album.
A nice wee video of the super-fast recording process has also been released.
