Wooden Shjips is an unforgiveable spelling mistake isn’t it, but this lot come from San Francisco, so it’s possibly understandable? They’ve been around for a while. although I only discovered them with their 2011 album, ‘West’, which was rather good. Well the follow up is ‘Back To Land’ and is also a good ‘un. They play spaced out psychedelia, with a clear sixties influence. The sound is quite mesmeric and has a wicked groove to it, so take the attached track for a test drive if you will.
