Nashville-based country singer-songwriter Jenn Bostic returns to this country later this month for an 11 date tour. Still only 27 years of age but already the proud winner of five Independent Country Music Association Awards, Bostic is best known for her “Jealous of the Angels”, released last year in the UK as her debut single and a song which reached number one in the singer-songwriter charts. Further evidence of its popularity is the fact that the song’s accompanying video has garnered nearly a million and a half views on YouTube.
Inspired by the death of her father in an automobile accident when she was 10 years of age, “Jealous of the Angels” has become an unofficial anthem for the bereaved and its huge success attests to how it has helped many to deal with their own grief. But whilst Jenn Bostic’s life has clearly been shaped by this tragic event it does not define it, as her two albums Keep Lookin For Love and Jealous testify. They are recordings which reveal Bostic to be a musician of great maturity and authority who is able to cross that divide between country and soulful pop. Find out for yourself at:
