For those of you not yet familiar with the Kill Chaos concept – well, if this sneak preview of their forthcoming album Promises Promises is any indication – it goes something a bit like this. You grab a vinyl copy of Gang of Four’s ‘Natural’s Not In It’ and melt it in the blast furnace of all rock history. Let it cool down a little through the passage of time, remould and remodel and then use the end product as the basic template for your sound. Weld some vocals steeped in white spirit and a relentless pile-driving rhythm to the blueprint and you get ‘Boy Done Good’.
Then if that’s not quite enough you put your names down for a Sheffield Film Makers Society project where you only have a fortnight in which to create a video, throw your lot in with one Jason Waterz from TraceMeInc and come up with something pretty special that looks a lot like this:
