Manic Street Preachers are very much of the rock music establishment having made a massive contribution to indie rock’s history. Three years ago they released ‘Postcards From A Young Man’, which was an excellent return to form. Right now album number eleven has also hit the streets and it’s entitled ‘Rewind The Film’. It’s a much more downbeat affair and a tame offering it has be said. On the plus side it exudes class and Nicky Wire doesn’t get a lead vocal slot on a chorus this time. Motorcycle emptiness maybe, but worthy of a track here all the same.
