Word on the street is that Bloc Party have split; they will call it another hiatus I guess, but this time it might just be the end. And that, dear friends is a tragedy, for they have been the best band this century for me. Their last album was a massive return to form, suggesting greater things to come, so disappointment indeed. But rejoice in the fact that they have just released a final EP, ‘The Nightwave Sessions’ containing five pretty good new tunes, the best of which sits here for your enjoyment – listen and weep.
