Fans of nineties indie/Britrock will remember Northern Uproar. They were only around for a couple of years but released two fine albums, a string of great singles and were very much part of the UK scene back then. What I hadn’t realised is that they reformed in 2006 and, about a month ago, released the second album of that second generation, ‘All That Was Has Gone’. It doesn’t veer a great deal from what they were doing sixteen years ago to be honest, although they do punk it up here and there and come on like The Jam. All that’s bodes well with me, so here’s a track for you to see what you think.
