Manic Street Preachers return on 16th September with their 11th studio album ‘Rewind The Film’, preceded by the single ‘Show Me The Wonder’ on 9th September.A decidedly summery-brass-pop cut featuring James Dean Bradfield back on lead vocals it’s quite an apt soundtrack to the current heat wave we’ve been experiencing, you can listen to ‘Show Me The Wonder’ here:
A few ago the Manics released the album’s 6 minute title track which features guest vocalist Richard Hawley. James Dean Bradfield has recently revealed that the band had written two new albums, with 35 tracks recorded in total. Speaking about the first of the pair, he said: “We’ve nearly finished mixing this one. It’s much more acoustic based – I think there’s one electric guitar on the entire record. But it’s not Campfire Street Preachers, we’re not banging boxes or anything.”According to the singer, the second album is “a lot spikier and shinier” with a “tiny bit of krautrock influence.” He also explained that lyrically it was concerned with “the malaise of us Brits not feeling part of [Europe].”
