The second single from London based art-rockers Extradition Order’s second album, A Shot is a stylish and dramatic tale of a woman escaping her relationship. The follow up to their epic lead single ‘Canoe’ which figured highly in our songs of 2012, its heavy and repetitive strangulation of strings fall on top of complex and melodically choral keyboard line, backed by an endless military drum. Supporting the single is a rich and thoughtfully shot video directed by Charlie Wolf, featuring an inventively choreographed mix of ballet, capoeira and martial arts stick fighting, you can watch it for the first time below!
Built with an equal love of Benjamin Britten and Mark E Smith, Extradition Order like to tell dark stories in a wild way. However, it was a chance meeting between the singer of Extradition Order, aged 8, and Jerry Lee Lewis that formed the idea that failure comes to us all but rock and roll is the glorious revenge. And revenge solves everything.
