Bummer Album of the Week: The Spin Doctors – If The River Was Whiskey

Back in 1993, ‘Two Princes’ by The Spin Doctors was a defining song of the time for me and the accompanying album a valuable addition to my collection.  Twenty years and five albums later, we have ‘If The River Was Whiskey’ due out this month.  It’s tired and lazy blues rock, with several long guitar solos and can perfectly be described as dad rock.  This does not have a place in my collection but get firmly placed as Bummer Album of the Week.
