This year Wireless is back, bigger and even better!! Yahoo has now taken over sponsorship; the festival has now been relocated to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and takes place from 12-14 July 2013. After last year’s spectacular line up and amazing turn out I didn’t think they could top that but this year’s line up is shaping up to be the best yet.
Wireless Festival is one of the biggest if not the biggest festival that takes place in London each year. It originally started in 2005 and took place at Hyde Park and mainly consisted of alternative bands and fitted mainly into the indie scene. Now Wireless consists of a variety of different music styles and caters for most people.
On Friday 12th July the one and only Justin Timberlake is headlining with big names like Grammy award winner Frank Ocean, The Legend John Legend, Miguel and Trey Songz.
On Saturday 13th July Jay Z is set to headline with the likes of 2012s rapper of the year Kendrick Lamar, Roc Nation star Rita Ora, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and New Australian hottie Iggy Azalea.
Just those two days alone look banging but then yahoo announced a third day named Legends of the summer which sees Jay Z and Justin Timberlake headlining together!! Joining those to legends on the day are Asap Rocky, Nas, Rizzle Kicks, Jessie Ware and 2 Chainz.
This year’s festival seems very American orientated and it is setting out to be one of the best festivals of the year. This is the best way to kick off the summer, roll on summer 2013 its gonna be a mad one!!
