Nothing stands still in the world of music but sometimes it’s great to experience a freeze frame from the past. Well today sees the release of a new Suede album, more than a decade after the last one. Try to forget the awkward reunion of Anderson and Butler as The Tears, because this new set is the second generation of the band, where Matt Osman apes Butler in fine style. And a fine set of tunes it is too; entitled ‘Bloodsports’, bringing back warm feelings of circa 96 Britpop, at a time when we thought we ruled the world. Luverly.
