The second album by Esben And The Witch was one of the releases that most excited me this year and it doesn’t disappoint. The band have matured nicely and it’s a classy yet powerful offering, whilst maintaining the air of gothic mystery from the debut. Rachel Davies’ vocals are better than ever and the album suggests bigger and bolder things await this fine Brighton trio. The album is called ‘Wash The Sins Not The Face’, it’s out now and you really do have to hear it.
