‘To Become A Jackal’ by Villagers was one of the most promising debut albums of 2010 but we all know what weight of expectation that paces on the sophomore. Well last week theirs arrived in the shape of ‘{Awayland}’ and boy have they taken it up a notch. It’s a confident record, captivating, uplifting and sensitive al at the same time. It takes the band a large step outside the folk arena and is a beautifully constructed album that deserves your immediate attention.
