Llansteffan’s Alex Dingley has been on our radar for a while formerly of Welsh Language bemoth The Texas Radio band his wonderfully wonky electro-folk solo album ”I Lost My Honey In The Grass’ was on our turntables quite a bit in 2007, and he even played a gig for us in the Welsh club(Clwb Ifor Bach).Now he’s back and offering up new single ‘Cats Eyes’ via trusted source of ace new music the TOO PURE Singles club. ‘Cats Eyes’ is a sparkling ramshackle pop gem of boy/girl melodies, there’s a touch of early Syd Barrett about the way it bumps along through psychedelic-tinged sparkly eyed feline imagery, as Alex holds hands with his female acomplice and jumps into the unknown of the sunset (‘a beautiful day/for running away’).
