The xx have just announced their brand new single ‘Angels’:
It’s been a long time since we’ve played you anything new. This song is called Angels, it is the first single from our new album, Coexist. We’ve been playing this song live recently, so it feels good to share with you the version we’ve been working on for so long. We hope you like it. xx The xx
‘Angels’ is the first track to be released from The xx’s forthcoming second album ‘Coexist’, which is due for release on 10th September 2012 on Young Turks (11th September in the US). ‘Coexist’ has been produced by The xx’s Jamie Smith and is the follow up to their 2009 debut ‘xx’. It was recorded between November 2011 and May 2012 in the band’s own studio in London.
The band have also just revealed the track list and cover artwork.
