I wrote a review a few years ago of Wintersleep’s album ‘Welcome To The Night Sky’ and cited them as being at the fore of Canada’s assault on taking over the indie rock show. Since then, they released ‘New Inheritors’ in 2010, which got a mixed reception, as it had a lot less immediate commercial appeal. Well out this week is their fifth album ‘Hello Hum’ and, whilst it is unlikely to turn that tide of disinterest, it is another proficient and entertaining set of tunes. Have an earful of the attached and, if you like it but this lot are unknown to you, there’s a nice little back catalogue to track down, so do it.
