Evans The Death is a very sinister name indeed. However, this is not goth metal but a splendid dose of energetic indie pop, with more than a leaning towards power pop. Coming from the same stable as the glorious Pains Of Being Pure At Heart, they had a promising single ‘Threads’ last year and the eponymous album is now upon us and doesn’t disappoint. Those of you groaning at yet another ‘bloody pop song’ will be furnished with something harder tomorrow!
