It may be a little early for daffodils, but Jonquil, that lovely band your friend likes, sprung back into life today with a flurry of exciting news. Their prime story, divisible only by itself, is that the long-awaited follow-up to 2010’s ‘One Hundred Suns‘ mini album, and longer-awaited follow up to 2007’s excellent ‘Lions‘ LP, will be released by Blessing Force in the UK on 5th March. Those across the pond will be able to nab a copy via the jolly folks at Dovecote Records from February 21st.
A launch party is being held at Hoxton Bar and Kitchen on February 29th, so to ensure you’re there to offer a well-earned pat on the back, get a ticket here. Jonquil will also be performing as part of this year’s SXSW festival in Austin, Texas next month, and we wish them all the best with that.
To get you in the mood for these coming spectacles, here’s a video for new signle ‘It’s My Part‘, filmed by the bloody great Franklyn Banks on a bloody cold day in a bloody big warehouse.
