This is a big week for Friends with the band in the UK for a short series of sold out shows in Manchester and London, and the release today of current single “Friend Crush”. To make it even bigger, Friends are now announcing a 9-date UK tour for this May whilst also sharing their first official remix.
Starting in Leeds on May 5 and ending at the Fleece in Bristol on March 14, the run will also include Friends’ biggest UK show to-date on May 9at the 900 capacity Scala in London.
Tickets for the May shows will go on sale this Friday 10th February at 9am.
The remix of “Friend Crush” by Leo Zero is a tastefully disco-tastic workout, akin to a night out with Chic and Dam Funk, and is guaranteed to broaden the smile of the many singing along to Friends’ anthem.
2012 has gotten off to an incredible start for the Brooklyn quintet. Friends were the only independently-signed artist to appear on the BBC Sound Poll of 2012 whilst
“Friend Crush” has been play-listed by Radio 1, 6 Music, XFM and MTV. With their debut album currently being readied for release in late Spring, look for the band to go stellar.
“Friend Crush” is released February 6
