Applescal returns with bootleg remix of Télépopmusik’s ‘Smile’

 

Dutch producer Applescal has been conquering hearts of electronic music lovers shortly. His latest self-released ‘El Diablo’ EP on rtfkt.net gained support from Pitchfork, XLR8R, DJ Magazine & Data Transmission to name just a few. Pascal returns with a beautiful bootleg remix of Télépopmusik’s ‘Smile’, accompanied by a stunning video by Rick Robin. Download it here:

Télépopmusik is a French electronic music trio, composed of Fabrice Dumont, Stephan Haeri (also known as “2 square” for his solo projects), and Christophe Hetier. Télépopmusik are better known for their track “Breathe” from the album ‘Genetic World’, which was nominated for a Grammy Award in the category Best Dance Recording at the ceremony held in February 2004. The track peaked at #42 in the UK Singles Chart in March 2002. Angela McCluskey, the co-writer and guest vocalist on “Breathe,” is from the American band Wild Colonials. Applescal quote: ” Télépopmusik has been an inspiration for me since I was a teenager. I’ve learned a lot of their music and listening to them makes me fly.”
