Global music revolutionary M.I.A. is set debut a brand new single ‘Bad Girls’ on Monday, January 30th at 2:30 p.m. EST / 7.30 p.m GMT on Pitchfork.com. Radio 1’s Zane Lowe is also set to give the single the exclusive first worldwide radio spin at 7.30pm as his Hottest Record In The World, with M.I.A joining him on the phone.
‘Bad Girls’, officially available to buy worldwide on January 31st, was recorded in Miami and produced by Danja (Timbaland, Diddy, Madonna, Nelly Furtado, Pink).
It will be accompanied by a video that will debut on the Vice network’s Noisey YouTube channel on February 3rd. The video has been directed by Romain Gavras (M.I.A. ‘s “Born Free” and JUSTICE’s “Stress”).
M.I.A is currently working on her fourth album which is due for a summer release on her new UK label, Mercury Records. Her previous three albums on XL Recordings – ‘Arular’, ‘Kala’ and ‘// / Y /’ – established M.I.A as one of the UK’s most original and influential musicians.
