Indie Londoners Battant have just completed their new album, to be released in October this year.
‘As I Ride With No Horse’ is out via Kill The DJ Records on October 24th, and with Tim Fairplay departed due to his own projects the band are now working as a duet, making for a much more sentimental album.
Aiming for a simple and essential sound, they have let the sounds come to them in their make-shift home studio surrounded by out of tune guitars, antique harmonicas, tambourine, jaw harp, toy accordions, violin, jars of rice & squeaky chairs.
The track list for ‘As I Ride With No Horse’ includes:
1. As I Ride With no Horse
2. Shutter
3. Doll and Chain
4. Modern Days
5. Clearcut
6. Scarlet
7. Farmer’s Ode to Wife
8. Hubble
9. Being One
10. Pester
11. Fossil FuelLondon
Battant also recently release an EP – ‘Shutter’ – which you can listen to here:
