Preview: Teebs & Jeremiah Jae Live, Corsica Studios, 6 Sept

Fans of Flying Lotus, Daedelus and the Brainfeeder label in general should head over to Corsica Studios in Elephant & Castle, London, next Tuesday 6 September for an incredible night of LA-beat turntablism with Teebs topping the bill.

Skater-turned-producer Teebs is a close friend and ex-roomie of famed LA producers Flying Lotus and Samiyam, with their experimental beatism rubbing off on the now Chino Hills-based artist. His, though, is a much more blissed-out sound; 2010s Ardour was a collage of chilled out haze-hop, and Tuesday could be a rare opportunity to catch him this side of the Atlantic.

Also on the bill is fellow Brainfeeder Jeremiah Jae, an experimental producer, rapper and visual artist. This years Rappayamatantra was a nightmarish soundscape of beats, obscure samples and his paranoid wordplay, and JJ is also known for mixtapes featuring his drawl put to beats from artists such as J Dilla, Projek and Flyng Lotus – his latest mix Special Lunch 4 released earlier this month.

Also on the bill are sets from My Panda Shall Fly and Throwing Snow, and with tickets available for £8 this show be banger of a night for experimental fans.
