When he does not fiddle with his collection of vintage synths, Arnaud Rebotini is in control of Black Strobe, the group that he originally founded with Ivan Smagghe. And in remix, Black Strobe fears nothing and no one: after David Guetta, Rammstein and J-pop singer Ayumi Hamasaki, Rebotini and his friends come to swing a replay of ‘I Feel Love’ by disco diva Donna Summer . But this was for a good cause.
Explanation: in early 2010 at the initiative of Amnesty International and Catalunya Barcelona Buffetlibre Dj’s, over 100 artists from 50 countries around the world gathered to record a huge compilation of unreleased tracks of which the proceeds are entirely donated to the NGO.
For this album, which responds to the very original name of PEACE, the guys from Black Strobe have therefore taken the erotic glitter anthem co-written by Giorgio Moroder, the man who, thirty years before Rebotini, had proved to the world that mustache was perfectly suited to electronic music.
At the time, ‘I Feel Love 79’ had not even done once around the web and compiles PEACE unfortunately had an oven. History can be to catch the blow, Black Strobe record offers a few hours downloading the song here.
