From the champagne-popping chords and mascara-smeared club kid chorus of ‘It’s a Bubble’, to the tunnel vision techno of ‘O.P.U.L.E.N.C.E’, House Of Beni is a shape-shifting exploration of the state of dance.
“I didn’t want to make a noisy record or anything that could easily be put into a category,” explains Beni. “Like there are disco influences, but it’s not a disco record. And there’s house influences, but it’s not a house record. It’s like a tree—once you look at one branch, it leads to another, and another.”
