PREVIEW: Wakestock Festival 8th-10th July 2011

wakestock2011lineup croppedThis weekend (8th – 10th July) sees the annual Wakestock Festival hit Cardigan Bay, North Wales. As you would expect with this festival it’s slightly different than your average. Wakestock fuses a variety of wakeboarding competitions with some the world’s top bands and DJ’s all over three days and three stages.

This year the festival boasts a line up featuring the likes of Ellie Goulding and Biffy Clyro  to Chase And Status. Just from these  headliners you can tell the rest of the line up is an eclectic assorted mix of pop, dance and rock.

Ellie Goulding takes a break from recording her second album to open the festival on the West Stage. – Could we possibly be treated to a few new songs?.

Over on the East Stage on Saturday night Kelis will whip the crowd up (Whip, get it?! No? MILKSHAKE? Ok I’ll stop) with a set featuring a huge list of singles and hits and after a triumphant Glastonbury slot Biffy Clyro are set to blow the back doors off the festival with the closing headline set.

Wakestock has a variety of acts that can please even the fussiest of music lovers. Here at God Is In The TV we are a friendly and generous bunch so we’ve created a brilliant Spotify playlist with a selection of the artists for you to get your teeth into and test out some new music.

Not only that but we have compiled a ‘Must-See’ ten acts list; in no particular order…
