On the 4th July 2011 Rough Trade will be releasing UK singer Mary Hampton’s ‘Honey In The Rock’ as a one-off 7”: Watch the beautiful video below.
The track will follow a string of dates in six extraordinary settings across England where Mary will perform new repertoire from her forthcoming album Folly: the rooftop of London’s Queen Elizabeth Hall
under the lunar eclipse, Queen Anne’s Summerhouse set in a clearing in Bedfordshire’s woodland, the castle on the Bristol Blaise Estate,
the yew garden of the Tudor Packwood House in Wawrickshire,
the stunning Hoghton Tower in Lancashire which has been in the De Hoghton family since the Norman Conquest, and the Corsham Festival in Wiltshire.
Hailed as one of the true originals of the ‘new’ folk scene, this tour will be the debut for her new five piece band, Cotillion.
